Book of Gold: Multichance Overview
Playson built Book of Gold: Multichance as a rework of its earlier Book of Gold: Classic. The Book of Gold: Multichance game keeps the explorer, the temple and the golden Book of the original.

Book of Gold Multichance changes what happens inside Free Spins. Classic picks one expanding symbol per round, and here every retrigger adds another one to the stack.
Book of Gold Theme & Visuals
Torch light plays across a stone temple facade guarded by statues of Anubis and Horus. The reels sit in a golden and grey stone palette.
Regular symbols carry an Egyptian queen or pharaoh profile in a blue and gold headdress, plus a Horus bust topped with a sun disc. The set continues with the Eye of Wadjet, an ankh charm, and gold-embossed card royals from ten through ace.
Payout Rate & Volatility
Book of Gold: Multichance runs at 95.40% RTP with High volatility, so winning combinations land less often but pay more when they hit. The 6,550x max win needs several Special Expanding Symbols running at once in Max Multichance. With bets between $0.20 and $100, size the bankroll for long Free Spins sessions.
Book Wild & Scatter
The golden Book acts as the base game's Wild, substituting for every regular paying symbol across all five reels.
During Free Spins the Book follows a different rule. It does not substitute for an active Special Expanding Symbol, only for reel positions where no expanding symbol currently sits.
Three or more Book symbols anywhere on the 5x3 grid work as the Scatter trigger. That launches 12 Free Spins with an anywhere pay counted independent of the ten fixed paylines.
Special Expanding Symbols
Before each Free Spins round starts, the game randomly picks one regular paying symbol, never the Book, to serve as that round's Special Expanding Symbol.
When the chosen symbol lands on any position of a reel, it fills the entire reel: all three positions turn into copies of that symbol.
Payouts from an expanding reel count on their own, separate from the ten paylines.
A retrigger needs 3 or more Book symbols during Free Spins. It adds another 12 spins and a brand new Special Expanding Symbol on top of the ones already active.
Up to 9 Special Expanding Symbols can stack and run at the same time. At that point, the stack of Special Expanding Symbols can cover most of the grid in a single spin.
Free Spins
Three or more Book symbols in the base game open 12 Free Spins, and the number of Special Expanding Symbols grows with every retrigger.
Free Spins Trigger
A transition screen shows the random pick of the round's Special Expanding Symbol, which stays active from the first spin.
Retriggers
A retrigger during Free Spins does more than stretch the round by 12 spins. It adds a fresh Special Expanding Symbol alongside the ones already running. The effect stacks: a second retrigger adds its symbol to the first one.
Max Multichance
Reaching all 9 Special Expanding Symbols active at once marks the round's peak state. It only happens after repeated retriggers stack one expanding symbol on another.

FAQ
In the base game the Book substitutes for every regular symbol. During Free Spins it keeps that role everywhere except on positions already filled by an active Special Expanding Symbol. Three or more Book symbols anywhere on the grid still trigger 12 Free Spins.
A retrigger adds 12 more Free Spins and a brand new Special Expanding Symbol next to the ones already active.
Up to 9 Special Expanding Symbols can run in the same round. At that point nearly every reel can turn into a fully expanded symbol on a single spin, the Max Multichance state.
Buy Bonus costs 100x the total bet and starts the round with one Special Expanding Symbol already active from spin one. A natural trigger through 3 or more Book symbols picks that symbol at random once the round opens.
The 6,550x top multiplier needs several retriggers stacked into Max Multichance, which a single line hit cannot reach. With High volatility and bets from $0.20 to $100, plan the bankroll around long Free Spins sessions.
Yes, the demo runs the same RTP, the same retrigger rules and the same Buy Bonus as real money play, without any deposit required. Switching to real money adds the full bet range.
